AI X ART 인공지능과 예술 [2021/12/20]
인공지능의 역할을 살펴보고 미래를 전망하는 포럼이 열린다. 카이스트는 ‘인공지능과 예술(AI+ART)’을 주제로 20일 온라인 국제포럼을 개최한다고 16일 밝혔다.올해 출범한 카이스트 미술관의 첫 공식 행사로 열리는 이번 포럼에선 인공지능과 예술 분야에 관한 국내외 전문가 4인의 강연을 들을 수 있다. 국제전기전자공학회(IEEE) 석학회원이자 IT 대기업 어도비의 수석연구원인 애런 헤르츠만이 첫번째 연사로 나서 ‘기계는 예술을 만들 수 있는가’를 주제로 인공지능 시대의 예술 개념과 가능성에 관한 견해를 펼친다.이어 영국 왕립예술원 석학회원인 이진준 카이스트 미술관장이 ‘뉴미디어아트 : 현대 예술의 최전선’을 주제로 발표한다. 뉴미디어 아트에 대한 설명과 함께 인간 예술가와 인공지능의 협업에 대한 견해를 밝힌다.

An online international forum titled ‘AI+ART’ on the 20th, exploring whether machines can create art and if AI-generated works can be recognized as legitimate artistic creations. The event, which marks the first official activity of the newly established KAIST Art Museum, will feature presentations from four experts including Adobe’s senior researcher Aaron Hertzmann and KAIST Art Museum Director Lee Jin-joon, who will discuss the intersection of artificial intelligence and art, as well as future perspectives on collaboration between human artists and AI.”
